Session Details:

This second capacity development session aims to strengthen GAC members’ understanding of the mechanisms available to engage in the New gTLD Program: 2026 Round and support their preparedness for the upcoming community input processes.

Building on the first session, it will provide an overview of the opportunities for GAC Members and Observers to engage individually or collectively, including Application Comments, Singular/Plural Notifications, GAC Member Early Warnings, GAC Consensus Advice, and Objections. The session will explain the purpose, timing, relevant procedures, and potential outcomes of these mechanisms.

The session will also introduce the GAC Operational Readiness Framework and supporting materials developed to facilitate timely and coordinated GAC engagement. It will conclude with key takeaways from both capacity development sessions, highlighting preparedness considerations and lessons that could inform the GAC's work as the 2026 Round progresses.
