Full meetings of the GAC are usually conducted three times a year in conjunction with an ICANN public meeting. They may also be conducted intersessionally. GAC meetings are usually open. This part of the website provides access to past, present and future GAC meeting materials, including other calls and interactions the GAC has internally and with other groups.

Session Details:

Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG) is a community based initiative striving to address the challenges in the Universal Acceptance (UA) of domain names and email addresses. UASG would introduce the UA issue and its impact on local businesses and communities.

UASG has recently finalized its Action Plan for FY20 and would like to inform GAC members on motivation, scope and focus of its plan, highlighting the importance of the role of governments in achieving UA Readiness.

UASG would like to get input on how GAC can help to reach out to the governments for raising and addressing UA issue and would also share a relevant case study with GAC members.

Goals and outcomes of the session:
GAC members to learn about the UA issue and provide advice on how UASG should proceed to reach out to the government sector for raising awareness of and addressing UA issue.
