Session Details:
The GAC will review latest developments regarding efforts to bring Whois into compliance with Data Protection Law, in particular following the publication of the EPDP Phase 2 Final Report. While the report, its policy recommendations for Standardized System for Access and Disclosure of non-public registration data and the minority statements of various stakeholders are expected to be considered by the GNSO Council and the ICANN Board, a number of policy areas are expected to undergo further work, including Whois data accuracy and distinguishing the publication of legal vs. natural person registration data.
