ICANN63 - Agenda Item 12 - WHOIS & GDPR: Discussion with IPC and NCSG
Session Details:
Representatives from the GNSO’s Intellectual Property Constituency (IPC) and Non Commercial Stakeholder Group (NCSG) will discuss their perspectives on ongoing development related to WHOIS Compliance with GDPR.
The IPC will seek to discuss the current experience of IP/brand owners, businesses, consumer protection organizations and cybersecurity experts with WHOIS, post-GDPR and the need for moving forward quickly and implement a solution to facilitate access to non-public WHOIS data for legitimate purposes. NCSG will discuss an EPDP update, WHOIS and Privacy, and Law enforcement access to WHOIS personal information.
